Even though Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will feature completely new characters in J.K. Rowling's wizarding world, you can't expect that one or two characters from the Harry Potter series won't be featured at some point in the upcoming spin-off.
In an interview with MTV, actor Dan Fogler, who stars as Jacob in the movie, revealed the following:
As the stories go along, you will hear mention of your favorite characters. And you may meet their young counterparts along the way.
"May" is such a vague word, but I'm pretty sure Harry Potter fans will bite on to any glimmer of hope in that statement, especially since the new trailer of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them mentioned Albus Dumbledore, who is around 40 years old in the 1920s, the period Fantastic Beasts is set.
