You Can Now Own J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter Chair


Fans can now own a rare piece of Harry Potter history.

Heritage Auctions has decided to put J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter chair up for auction on April 6. What makes the chair so special? Well, it’s the very chair where Joanne Rowling wrote the first two Harry Potter books – The Philosopher's Stone and TheChamber of Secrets. The chair will be part ofRare Books Signature Auction on April. Meanwhile, bidding begins on the 18th of this month.

I wonder how high these items could go in auctions. It wouldn’t be surprising if someone would bid as high as $50K. Recently, it’s been reported that first edition Harry Potter books in mint condition could go as high as $56,000.  

J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter became the world’s best-selling young adult book series of this generation. In 2001, the first book in the series, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, was turned into a film, Since then, the books have become one of the biggest movie franchises of all time.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the first movie in a new spinoff trilogy, will be released on November 18.
