X-Men TV Series Casting Call Bring New Plot Hints

Logan may be the last time that Hugh Jackman will have a run at being Wolverine onscreen. But that doesn't mean that the legacy of the X-Men is already far behind. If anything, it's just ramping up, and the planned Fox TV series, known to be Gifted, one progress on the smaller screen.

So far, there are no details known about what the series will focus on. But there are a couple of new casting calls for an "Untitled Marvel Pilot" which we could only surmise to be the X-Men TV series.

My Casting File has a total of 10 listings for extras of the following nature:

  • High school students at a dance
  • Seedy types at bar
  • Native Americans at Outpost
  • 4am Diner patrons
  • A hotel maid
  • Law office background
  • Barfly woman (5'6'' and 115 pounds)
  • Actor photo double
  • 14- to 17-year-old high school students at a dance
  • Sentinel service techs

Since the known storyline for Gifted is that it will involve mutants who are on the run, the little details for the pilot are interesting. We might be seeing a flashback of the time before they were on the run, given the extras for the dance. There's also a mention of Native American casting, which could mean so many different things, but with potential that mutants of this descent may be involved.

Sentinels are also part of the show itself, but the fact that they are already in the show on the first episode alone is very interesting. All the shoot locations are for Dallas, Texas.

The X-Men TV series Gifted already has a lineup of behind-the-scenes creatives including Bryan Singer as director, Matt Nix as developer, and very catchy names like Simon Kinberg, Jeph Loeb, Lauren Shuler Donner, and Jim Chory as executive producers.
