X-Men: Storm Actress Says Her Stunts in Apocalypse Left Her Crotch Numb

We were first introduced to Alexandra Shipp's Ororo Munroe/Storm back in X-Men: Apocalypse, and she'll be back to reprise the character in X-Men: Dark Phoenix. During a guest appearance on Conan, Shipp reveals the toughest thing about her role—it was her crotch going numb.

Shipp explains:

"You're vagina falls asleep. When you're in that harness and you're flying around, you're completely numb from the waste down. Like, you could start hitting it—nothing."

As it turn out, even Halle Berry—who played Storm before Shipp—also had the same issues, and Shipp goes into great detail about her coordination with the stunt people to put her down whenever her crotch would lose all its feeling.

Watch her explain it herself:

Though I admittedly didn't enjoy X-Men: Apocalypse too much, I thought a lot of the casting for the young mutants was great, even Shipp as Storm. Personally, I would rather another person play Jean Grey. No offense to Sophie Turner but she didn't even look remotely close to Famke Janssen.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix has wrapped, and Shipp will be returning along with her co-stars from the previous movie. This time around, Simon Kinberg will be taking the helm for the first time; let's hope he has what it takes to deliver.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix comes out Nov. 2.
