X-Men: Dark Phoenix and New Mutants Pushed Back To 2019

It looks like Deadpool 2 is going to be the only film in the X-Men franchise coming out in 2018. 20th Century Fox pushed back the release dates of X-Men: Dark Phoenix and New Mutants. The latter was already delayed until the February of 2019 but it has been pushed back even further now.

According to Deadline, Dark Phoenix will now be showing on February 14, 2019, aka Valentine's Day. Prior to the delay, the fourth film in the First Class series was supposed to come out this November. This is because the Freddie Mercury biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody, is taking its original November 2 release date, moving up from its original December 25 date.

New Mutants was supposed to come out on February 22, 2019, pushed back from its previous April 13, 2018, release. That has changed and the superhero/horror mashup is now coming out on August 2, 2019. This is most likely due to X-Men: Dark Phoenix new Valentine's Day release date.

We are now getting two more X-Men movies on 2019, which probably doesn't bode well for the long-delayed Gambit film. Deadpool 2 is the only superhero film from Fox coming out this year, on May 18.
