X-Men: Apocalypse Deleted Scene Shows A Breakdancing Nightcrawler and Mutants in The Mall

Fox's X-Men: Apocalypse already raked in over $100 million in 76 markets, and it's set to hit US theaters on May 27 (Memorial Day Weekend) and will continue to pull fans into the summer blockbuster season.

In a recent interview from the London press junket, executive producer and screenwriter Simon Kinberg talked about some of the film's deleted scenes and rumored cameos. He revealed that there are several scenes that were chopped in order to keep the film on track even though it didn't lose significant story lines like what happened with X-Men: Days of Future Past.

As shown in the TV spot below, Jean Grey (Sophie Turner), Kurt Wagner (Kodi Smit-McPhee), Scott Summers (Tye Sheridan), and Jubilee (Lana Condor) are having fun being teenaers in a mall. The mall sequence is a reminder that these mutants aren't much different from "normal" humans. They hang out, watch movies, and apparently, Kurt breakdances.

During an interview with Collider, Kinberg revealed the hilarity of Nightcrawler breakdancing in the mall with a random bunch of kids, and he said that it was ultimately cut because it didn't fit the whole context of the film. He also extinguished the hope that Taylor Swift would appear as Dazzler when he says that she was "never" set to play the role.

Director Bryan Singer also described the mall sequence in this interview:

X-Men: Apocalypse will hittheaters May 27th, 2016, followed by Wolverine 3 on March 3rd, 2017, and unannounced X-Men films on October 6th, 2017 (possibly Gambit), January 12th, 2018 (possibly Deadpool 2), and July 13th, 2018. The New Mutants is also in development.
