X-Men: Apocalypse Concept Art of The Film's Villain

When the first image of X-Men: Apocalypse's villain was released last year, Apocalypse's look was met with a lot of criticism, with many fans pointing his resemblance to Ivan Ooze from the Power Rangers Movie, but it turns out that the concept art created for the character resembled the comic book version more.

Jerad S. Marantz, a professional conceptual artist who has worked with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Captain America: Civil War, has shared the concept art he created for X-Men: Apocalypse.

"Early costume concept art for Apocalypse for X Men: Apocalypse for costume designer Louise Mingenbach. This guy was on my bucket list," Marantz said "He's one of my all time favorite Marvel villains."

As you can see, Apolcalypse looks leaner and more feminine here, and the armor looks so slick. I could see why the final version didn't take this exact look, but at least this one looks better than the "Ivan Ooze" version.
