World of Warcraft: Legion Receives Emerald Nightmare Raid Mythic Difficulty

Blizzard has rolled out a new difficulty for World of Warcraft Legion's Emerald Nightmare. It's time for players to whip themselves into shape and try to prove that they can beat the most difficult version so far.

Dubbed as the Mythic difficulty, this will debut for the Emerald Nightmare raid. Together with this, the developer has also released the first wing of the Raid Finder. There are still two more expected—the second one is set for Oct. 11, while the final one will debut on Oct. 25.

Courageous players can check out the updated strategy guides provided by the developer, which are sure to have some tips related to any Mythic-specific mechanics.

The loot from the Emerald Nightmare Mythic will start at ilvl 880. There will also be three boss unlocks, Nythendra, Elerethe Renferal, and Il'gynoth. Additionally, the introduction of the Mythic and the LFR will also mean new armor tints available.

To top it all off, there's also a small hotfix update, which will be dealing with some balance issues. So far, one notable change is the rollback of damage drops for Demon Hunters. Currently, Blizzard is looking at ways to alter the reliance of Shadow Priests on the Surrender to Madness.

Of course, fans who want a bit of practice before they dive in can still access the Normal and Heroic difficulties.

World of Warcraft: Legion is the sixth expansion of Blizzard's successful MMO franchise.
