Woodwork Artist Creates Stunning Replica of Star Wars’ Millennium Falcon

The Force is strong with Martin Creaney. The talentedwoodwork artist created an insanely detailed replica of the Millennium Falcon made of pure timber.

According to Creaney’s Facebook page, his handmade creation took over 3000 individually-cut wood pieces from 30 types of timber to finish.

A video featuring Creaney’s craft was published May of last year by YouTube user Mr Chalky. With the hype surrounding the recent release of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens, it’s no wonder it has gained traction once again.

The Millennium Falcon isn’t the only Star Wars woodwork he’s created. His first was an R2-D2 replica.

It just goes to show that the Star Wars universe has huge influence on fans that can be used for good. We can see in Martin’s creation that it’s not impossible combining your passion with the Force as well as your craft.

Creaney is insane, and I mean that in a good way. I can’t imagine the how much time and dedication it took for him to make the awesome replica of the Falcon. Truly, the Force is strong with him.

I’m excited to see what other Star Wars carpentry he can come up with! Maybe he could make a wooden Death Star or BB-8.
