Wonder Woman Will See a Lot More of the Lasso & Chris Pine

As early as now, critics and fans are looking forward to Wonder Woman. From the looks of the trailers and sneak peeks, it looks like the DC movie that everyone will be able to agree and decide as a great one.

And even though her origin story seems has been touched on, there are still a couple of things that we don't know about—including the very presence of Ares.

Now, director Patty Jenkins has answered a few questions on the movie, particularly on the weapon that seems to have been neglected in lieu of the God Killer Sword, and the man who will supposedly fight alongside Wonder Woman.

For starters, the lasso of truth is more than just an accessory on Wonder Woman's side. Jenkins says that the lasso of truth will still be a main weapon in Diana's arsenal. Maybe this is being kept as a surprise, considering how we haven't seen the lasso in any of the footage yet.

Another aspect of Wonder Woman is Chris Pine. Even if Diana Prince's story is all about women empowerment in all the right elements, it seems that this movie won't discount the fact that she also finds a love interest in Steve Trevor.

"He brings the comic relief, [the] love story, and symbolizes the depth of man."

Now I'm just trying to grasp at possibilities here, but this symbolism can bring a whole lot of depth to the character, considering how man isn't exactly at his best during the war. I'd love to see that kind of characterization since it goes beyond Wonder Woman, and even gives another layer as to Ares' cause.

Wonder Woman will arrive in theaters on June 2.
