It looks like Lynda Carter is finally getting her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
According to Hollywood Walk of Fame Producer and VP of Media Relations Ana Martinez, the actress popularly known for her role as Diana Prince in the 1970's Wonder Woman TV series is going to be honored the 2,632nd star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame next month at the Hollywood Blvd.
After appearing in the iconic television series, Carter went on as a singer and as an actress, rolling out a few studio albums and taking on a few roles on both the big and small screen. Some of her most notable roles include Principal Powers in the superhero movie Sky High and President Olivia Marsdin in Supergirl.
"Superhero fans will be thrilled to see the TV's iconic original ‘Wonder Woman' Lynda Carter honored with her well-deserved star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!" said Leron Gubler, Hollywood Chamber of Commerce President and CEO in a statement on the official Walk of Fame website. "We are proud to add Lynda onto our historic Walk of Fame."
Earlier this month the Walk of Fame committee also awarded Star Wars legend Mark Hamill his very first star in the Hollywood Boulevard. It's great to see the organization finally recognizing some of TV and cinema's biggest icons.
The award ceremony for Carter will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. PDT in the Television category at 6562 Hollywood Boulevard.
