Wonder Woman Earns Past $3 Billion Globally

DC really needed a hit when they released Wonder Woman, and boy, did the movie pay off. It's been more than a month since the movie came out in theaters, and it's still making money!

Box Office Mojo reports that Wonder Woman had just hit a $350M milestone domestically, and those numbers have pushed the movie's earning to over $3B. That's not even counting that the movie hasn't even finished its run in other countries, and is still expecting to premiere in Japan.

With the first three movies in the DCEU being critical disasters, the guys over at Warner Bros are looking closely at the success of 2017 to determine the future of DC movies. As of now, we only have one movie—Aquaman—set to come out next year. All that is expected to change, however, with the arrival of San Diego Comic-Con later this month. A lot of fans are expecting announcements for movies like Batgirl or even Green Lantern Corps.

Wonder Woman may be a huge hit, but the DCEU isn't in the clear yet. We'll have to wait and see what Justice League has in store this November. A lot of people are relieved that Joss Whedon has taken the wheel, but let's all remember that Age of Ultron wasn't the hit we were expecting it to be. Then again, that really wasn't Whedon's fault.

Justice League comes out Nov. 17, and Wonder Woman is still out in theaters.
