Wonder Woman Comic Gets New Team, Arc & Synopsis

Followers of Wonder Woman's comics can expect a new creative team to handle the Wonder Woman #31 issue.

DC Comics announced via its official blog that James Robinson (Starman, JSA: Golden Age), Carlo Pagulayan (Deathstroke, Batman and Robin Eternal), and Emanuela Lupacchino (Supergirl, Superwoman) will be charged with the new run for six months for the twice-monthly comic Wonder Woman. This new creative team will start with the new arc Children of the Gods.

The announcement also teased the synopsis for the new arc, as seen below:

"Spinning out of the pages of DC Universe: Rebirth and Justice League: Darkseid War, Robinson, Pagulayan, and Lupacchino will answer one of the biggest questions of the year: Who is Wonder Woman's brother? Taken away from Themyscira in the dead of night, the mysterious Jason (the only male ever born on the island) has been hidden somewhere far from the sight of gods and men… but his life and Wonder Woman's are about to intersect in a terrifying way, bringing them face-to-face with a cosmic threat they never imagined!"

DC Comics also provided fans with a sneak preview of the cover care of Bryan Hitch, and it features Wonder Woman, Darkseid's daughter Grail, and Giganta, a creation by William Moulton Marston.

Wonder Woman #31 will be out in stores on Sept. 27.
