Wonder Woman Casting for Artemis Revealed

Close at the heels of a more in-depth look at what we'll be seeing in Wonder Woman via the new trailer, DC has finally released a new tidbit to get the speculation mill going.

Director Patty Jenkins revealed on Twitter that the Artemis in the movie will be none other than famous boxer Ann Wolfe.

This confirmation follows so many others, the biggest of which would be how her backstory and mythology as a whole will be a combination of the classic story of in the comics, as well as the New 52 storyline.

Add the existence of Ares in the background as a Big Bad and Dr. Poison also there in the mix care of Elena Anaya, and you're all set for an insane blockbuster hit. Perhaps Wonder Woman really is the big break we're looking for DC.

Of course, there are still a few reservations for the movie, especially after the new trailer was shown off. For one thing, we're seeing the God Killer sword in action more than the Lasso of Truth—even though the latter has some insane effects going on.

This seems like a miss, given how Wonder Woman is said to be the light and heroine of justice to bring a different kind of fight to the table. But we'll see—maybe that's a surprise for fans, too.

Wonder Woman will be out in theaters on June 2.
