Wiz Khalifa's Sonic the Hedgehog Track Has Epic 16-Bit Music Video

Sonic the Hedgehog is coming out next month and fans are hoping that this will be a good video game adaptation like Pokemon: Detective Pikachu was. While we’re all happy that Paramount has changed the character design to something cute and more like his video game counterpoint there are a certain number of people who think that the plot might not hold up. As we wait for the final verdict, Wiz Khalifa has released his song for the movie and it has an awesome music video Speed it Up.

While we do see Khalifa, alongside Ty Dolla $ign, Lil Yachty & Sueco the Child, the best parts of the video are when the rappers turn 16-bit and start hanging out with Sega Genesis Sonic. The visuals are legitimately great and should get nostalgic Sonic fans to check the video out, even if the music could be better (sorry Wiz).

Unless they’ve played Sonic Mania of course. Everyone should play Sonic Mania, even those that don’t particularly like Sonic the Hedgehog.

Since nostalgia is a driving factor, expect the end credits to also have some cool 16-bit visuals that will get people even more nostalgic as this song plays. We might also see some of the actors drawn by the original Sonic the Hedgehog artist, similar to the ending of Pokemon: Detective Pikachu.

Fans will be able to watch Sonic the Hedgehog on February 14, which is the best/worst Valentine’s Day gift ever.
