Winter Soldier, Dr. Selvig May Be Coming Back for Avengers: Infinity War

There may still be Thor: Ragnarok, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Black Panther coming out for the Marvel Grand Plan of superhero movies. But that doesn't mean that Avengers: Infinity War is not getting its own share of the spotlight.

Following announcements that the Avengers 3 movie will now be a solo movie, it seems that smaller cast roles are being hinted to play a part in the Infinity War.

First up is Winter Soldier actor Sebastian Stan. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Stan had shared his scheduled movies, which just wrapped up with I'm Not Here, followed by the shoot for We Have Always Lived in the Castle beginning this month.

The report then mentions in passing that he will be shooting Avengers: Infinity War sometime at the beginning of next year. there has been talk that Stan may also be part of Black Panther's storyline in his standalone movie, though this has not yet been confirmed.

Apart from Stan, a report from LRM Online also suggests that a smaller but still familiar face will be in Avengers: Infinity War. Stellan Skarsgard, also known as the brilliant but rather quacky Dr. Erik Selvig, who was seen in the two Thor movies and in Marvel's The Avengers.

However, the catch is that he won't be back in the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok. Skarsgard himself hinted that fans may see him in Avengers: Infinity War, though he did not give anything else away as far as what his role will be.

Avengers: Infinity War is set for a May 4, 2018 theatrical release.
