Warning: possible spoilers from Star Wars: Episode VIII ahead.

The Star Wars films have featured several characters losing limbs, mainly hands: Ponda Baba, the alien in th in the Mos Eisley cantina scene (his name was ,the Wampa in Empire Strikes Back that gets his arm chopped off by Luke's lightsaber, Darth Vader cuts off Luke's hand in the same film, Luke cuts off Vader's bionic hand in Return of the Jedi, which Anakin had originally lost in Revenge of the Sith (his legs were also cut off Obi Wan), and C-3PO having his arm replaced by a red one as seen in The Force Awakens. There are many other losses of limbs in the Star Wars saga, and now, fans are left guessing who could possibly be next? Who will get his or her limbs cut off in Star Wars: Episode VIII?

A Redditor named Bothan-spy claims that Captain Phasma will get her arm amputated in Episode VIII: "Her arm will be... the word used was 'cut', but I do not believe that is very accurate in all honesty. This injury is inflicted by another main character." Usually the most badass characters in the saga are the ones who lose their limbs. Christie's character disappointed a lot of fans in The Force Awakens because a lot of us thought that she was going to be as badass as Boba Fett, but producer Kathleen Kennedy once said that she has big plans for Phasma. If this rumor ends up being true, this could hint that she'll have an intense battle scene that would cause her to lose her arm. And if this is true, it would sucks for her that she had to be thrown into the trash compactor in The Force Awakens, and now she'll be losing an arm in Episode VIII.

Star Wars: Episode VIII is set to release in December 15, 2017.
