This might shock you but it turns out that Brie Larson, the star of Captain Marvel, did not get along with her co-star Reggie, the adorable cat that plays as Goose. Now, before you start boycotting the film or going on forums about how Brie Larson is the worse, keep this in mind; she is allergic to cats. So don't worry, Brie Larson is NOT a monster.
I repeat, Brie Larson is NOT a monster. You probably know someone who is allergic to dogs and feel sad for them every day.
Here's what Larson told Entertainment Weekly about her struggles to work with Reggie:
"I'm severely allergic. Not just kind of allergic - like, very, very allergic. [I was taking Benadryl] all day. It became this joke because the crew would watch me all day doing crazy stunts. I did that ropes course stunt 50 feet up in the air on the first week. I threw [a stunt person] in a judo throw on a moving train, day two. But then the cat showed up on set and I was like, 'We need to have a plan! We need to have a conversation!' I see cat hair flying, [and] I've got maybe 10 minutes before I break out in hives."
Thankfully, her co-star Samuel L. Jackson did get along with the cat, so you pet owners need to chill out. Jackson was able to give Reggie some snacks, which led to them getting along rather quickly.
Captain Marvel comes out on March 8. Hug your cat.
