White in Magic: The Gathering Throne of Eldraine Will Do Something 'It's Never Done Before'

The release of the upcoming Magic: The Gathering expansion Throne of Eldraine this fall will bring a lot of changes to Wizards of the Coast's popular trading card game such as new types of booster packs and a new card type but some white cards in the set will also do something different.

Today, Magic lead designer Mark Rosewater said that the white color in the upcoming set will do something different in an effort to help white in Commander but he didn't reveal what it was.

"It's doing something in Throne of Eldraine it's never done before in our ongoing quest to help white in Commander," Rosewater wrote on his Blogatog.

What do you think white can get to benefit in the Commander format that isn't explicitly against white's current color pie standing? Maybe the third unknown Planeswalker card in Throne of Eldraine will use that ability. Let your speculation engines running and let us know what you think in the comments section below.

Throne of Eldraine is set to release on October 4. Prerelease will be held on September 28-29. The set is said to be inspired by the romantic Arthurian legend of Camelot and Grimms' Fairy Tales.
