Last month, publisher Electronic Arts revealed that there would be a slew of downloadable content coming our way after the launch of Star Wars Battlefront. While EA has been quiet about what the DLC packs would include, we do have some new information. A DLC pass will be available for $50, and will include the four expansion packs coming to the game after its launch. Here's what EA COO Peter Moore said about these expansions: "What we've announced is four extra packs over the next 12-18 months coming post launch. You'll see new universes, you're gonna see new player actions, obviously new weaponry as well."

I'm curious as what the "new universes" will be, and hope to see a good variety of new weapons for each expansion pack. EA has already said that everyone who buys the DLC pass will get access to new content a full two weeks before anyone else, in addition to a "Shoot First" player emote.

Personally, I think $50 is a lot to pay for bonus content, when the game itself will sell for $60. Lets hope the downloadable content that EA and DICE can bring to the table will be worth the investment. In the meantime, you can pick up Star Wars Battlefront when it launches on November 17.
