The Sand Snakes in the fifth season of Game of Thrones have been so far a disappointment to book readers who expected them to be as badass as they were in George R.R. Martin's books.
There was a lot of hype about the trio going into the season — they hired Oscar nominee Keisha Castle-Hughes after all —and I expected more than a fight sequence with Jaime Lannister and a few moments of the Sand Snakes in the prison.
So is that all?
Well, no, according to Jessica Henwick, the Singaporean actress who plays the bull-whip toting Nymeria Sand. Based on her comments, it sounds like Game of Thrones will show us more of what's going on in Dorne in this Sunday's finale, and we can expect some game-changing events for the series, as she tells Yahoo:
"What happens with the Sand Snakes is … extreme. Very extreme. So I'm really curious to see how people take it. I don't know what else I can say!" says Henwick with a laugh. "Episode 10 sets the rest of the show on a very certain path. It's a big move in Game of Thrones, and the Sand Snakes are a part of it."
It sounds like the finale might change the general consensus about the Sand Snakes more than Tyene's boob flash a few episodes ago. So what do you think will happen to the Sand Snakes in the finale?
As for Nymeria's role in Game of Thrones Season 6 Henwick could only offer, "I don't know, to be honest."
