Star Wars: The Clone Wars has come to an end but before that, fans were treated to more savagery from the one and only Darth Maul. So what happened to Maul after the events in Season 7?

In Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7 Episode 12, Maul proved that Ahsoka Tano made a horrible decision when she set him loose. After the hallway massacre in the previous episode, Maul continued to wreak havoc on the Clone Troopers. At one point, he even forced a Clone to fire at his own companions. But that's not the worst thing that Maul does in Victory and Death.

Maul ultimately destroyed the hyperdrive by using the Force and this caused the ship to crash. Amidst all the chaos, he manages to find a shuttle to escape in although Ahsoka initially tried to stop him.

Maul's escape confirmed that he would later go on to do more terrible things after the events in The Clone Wars Season 7. We already know that he would later reappear in Solo: A Star Wars Story where he is still the head of the Shadow Initiative.

For now, it is unclear if we'll get to see what happens to Maul between The Clone Wars and Solo but it wouldn't be a surprise if Disney and Lucasfilm announce yet another project that would focus on the villain.

The final episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars is currently streaming on Disney+.
