Wetsworld 2: Showrunners Tease New Worlds For Next Season

Though the show may have been absent for 2017, Westworld will be coming back to HBO next year, and a lot of people are excited for the return. The finale had teased the inclusion of more "worlds" in the park, and the showrunners tease that they will more or less arrive in Season 2.

When Deadline asked co-creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy why the other "worlds" didn't make an appearance in season one, Nolan simply replied:

"We had to save something for Season 2."

The original movie had more than just the Wild West as the theme for the park. There was also Romanworld and Medievalworld. The ending of the first season teased us with Samuraiworld, and it looks like the show will be delving more into that in the next season.

With Game of Thrones nearing its end, HBO must be looking for another show to be its masthead this time around, and Westworld is a good candidate. The show has some amazing writing and the production value is top notch. It even has more or less the same amount of graphic nudity—a staple in every good HBO show.

As of now, Westworld 2 has no specific release date, but we can catch the show sometime around spring 2018.
