When Fox changed the Gambit movie's working title from Chess to Forevermore, it seemed like the company just wanted a less obvious name for the film. Now that some details have begun to surface, it looks like the name Forevermore is starting to make some sense. According to Omega Underground, the film will have a big wedding scene, which should get fans of the Ragin Cajun excited.
In the comics, Gambit and his former flame Belladonna were in rival families ala Romeo and Juliet. The duo was hoping that a wedding would finally bring peace to both families, but that didn't happen. It's not clear if the wedding will be a flashback or a big scene in the film, but fans can expect something big to happen when it hits the screen.
Lizzy Caplan's possible presence in the film might lead to a cameo from James Franco, who will be portraying Multiple Man in a solo movie. Previous reports stated that Multiple Man would be a part of Gambit's crew in an Ocean's Eleven-like heist. If he does appear, it would be a solid way to build some hype for the character before his solo film comes out.
Gambit is slated for a February 14, 2019, release.
