Watch The Original Cast Of The Animated Justice League Reunite For A Live Table Read

It's been eleven years since Justice League Unlimited ended, but the show was so great, and a huge bulk of the DC fandom has this show to thank for getting them interested in the Justice League in the first place. During a panel at the Denver Comic-Con, the core cast of the show (save for J'onn J'onzz voice actor Carl Lumby) came together for a special live table read for the fans.

The entire cast includes Kevin Conroy as Batman (of course), George Newbern as Superman, Susan Eisenberg as Wonder Woman, Maria Canals-Barrera as Hawgirl, Phil LaMarr as Green Lantern, and Michael Rosenbaum as The Flash. The panel also had Brian Cummings and Khary Payton filling in for J'onn and villain Hro Talak.

The panel is actually reading a script for the episode "Starcrossed" which marked the setup for the much larger Justice League Unlimited which saw the inclusion of a lot more heroes from the DC Universe joining the League. If I'm being honest, I would never have known about Zatanna, Green Arrow, or Black Canary if it wasn't for this show.

Though DC has been pumping out a lot of other Justice League-related cartoons recently, I never felt that they ever reached the bar of Justice League Unlimited. I mean, Young Justice was pretty close, but I never really was a fan of the YA romance elements. I don't know, that's just my opinion.

It may not be animated, but the Justice League movie comes out Nov. 17.
