Watch The Behind-The-Scenes Video of John Williams' Star Wars: The Force Awakens Score

As much as I love the Star Wars music of the legendary composer John Williams, the soundtrack of The Force Awakens is weak compared to the sounds of the original trilogy, and even the prequels (Duel of the Fates was so good even though the prequels were disappointing to many). There's not a lot of memorable themes in The Force Awakens, Rey's Theme somewhat stood out to me. The music captured the adventurous and innocent spirit that Williams is going for. Williams received his 50th nomination for an Academy Award for his work on the film, but I won't be surprised if he didn't win.

In this new video, Williams takes us behind the scenes of the recording process, which includes appearances by stars Daisy Ridley and John Boyega, and director J.J. Abrams.
