Deadpool doesn’t need a sidekick. It’s obvious in the movie. Wade Wilson works solo. He even cut his own hand just to get away from Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead when they tried to persuade him to join their X-Men group.
Apparently, James Corden of The Late Late Show on CBSthinks the Merc with a Mouth needs some help. Despite the massive success of Deadpool on the box office so far, the comedian thinks the film is missing something, and that is a sidekick.
With the idea in his head, Corden tried to convince Reynolds that Deadpool needs a sidekick by dressing up in different sidekick costume as options. Reynolds wouldn’t budge and Corden’s costumes just get increasingly worse...and ridiculously funny.
In the end though, while Reynolds is obviously hesitant, the 39-year-old actor proves once again that he’s a nice guy and allows Corden to be his sidekick, but with Reynolds’s own idea.
Take a look at what Ryan thought of at the end of the video:
As per Screen Rant, in reality, Deadpool has been seen teaming up with a “Deadpool Family” called the Deadpool Corps consisting of many Deadpools from alternate dimensions. There had reportedly been a 2011 comic called Deadpool Family featuring several pools like Ladypool, Kidpool, Headpool, and Dogpool.
Still, double Deadpool rocks, I wouldn’t mind seeing a parody double Deadpool movie in the future. It would also be fun if the creators of Deadpool 2 would incorporate a “sidekick” in the film.
Deadpool is now in theaters.
