Injustice 2 has been adding more than just DC heroes to its roster, and the latest reveal trailer had the freaking Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as playable characters. This was obviously a big deal for some fans, and you can watch them go crazy in this video shared by NetherRealm's Ed Boon:
Though heroes like the Atom and Enchantress got a fair amount of excitement, everyone in the hall went absolutely nuts when all the Ninja Turtles came together onscreen. By the looks of it, the four will play as one character, and I'm guessing you'll be able to switch between each turtle mid-game.
Other non-DC heroes have made their way to Injustice like Hellboy and Mortal Kombat's Raiden and Sub-Zero. Before release, Ed Boon had been holding polls on who we wanted to see next, and names like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the T-800 from Terminator have been dropped.
With Injustice 2 getting such a huge (and steadily growing) roster, there's a good chance we'll be seeing more characters make their way to the game. Why do I have a feeling that if we wait long enough, we'll eventually get a Marvel crossover at some point?
Injustice 2 is currently available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
