Watch: 50 Things We Learned From Star Wars: From A Certain Point Of View

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Star Wars, Lucasfilm had released the book From A Certain Point of View which is a compilation of short stories focusing on background characters in the franchise. The book comes with a lot of fun facts and tidbits, and Star Wars Explained on Youtube has made a list of 50 interesting facts that we can get from the book.

It’s interesting just how fleshed out the characters of Star Wars can get despite being onscreen for only a few seconds. The book gives us so many fun details from all the characters in A New Hope, and it also serves to solve several plot points found in the film.

For one, it was revealed that Evazan and Ponda Baba were at the Cantina to help Greedo capture Han Solo, but because of the incident with Ben, Greedo had to go at it alone—much to his demise.

We also learn that Ben had made a funeral pyre for Darth Maul after he died in his arms in Rebels, and he also makes toys for little Luke Skywalker which he leaves on Shmi Skywalker’s grave for Beru Lars to find. Qui-Gon also learns how to make a visible Force ghost in the book which some speculate could also happen in the Obi-Wan Kenobi spinoff.

The book also comes with other interesting bits of trivia, like the fact that Yoda’s blanket in Return of the Jedi was Qui-Gon’s robe and the Dionaga in the trash compactor of the Death Star was put there on purpose to break down organic trash.

More of the facts can be found in the video, but if you want to find them out for yourself, you can always check out Star Wars: From A Certain Point of View which is now available in stores.
