The jaw-dropping news of Jamie Foxx entering the Marvel Cinematic Universe has sent the entire geek and comic book film community in complete overdrive, not to mention a state of shock and confusion. A lot of hype and mystery surround Electro's upcoming appearance in the MCU with most fans wondering if Foxx's Max Dillon will be the same guy from Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man universe or will he be a completely different person?
MCU Cosmic's Jeremy Conrad speculates that Foxx's Electro character will indeed be the same guy that we saw wreak havoc in 2014's The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Not only that, but he also theorizes that Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch could be the one responsible for Electro being brought to Earth-616 after she "opens" the portal to the Multiverse, thanks to her reality-warping shenanigans and she's probably not even aware of it and the consequences that come with her reality manipulation.
When you think about it, the theory makes absolute sense considering the events of WandaVision are going to tie directly into Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, keyword "Multiverse". Maximoff messing with reality for her own personal gain will undoubtedly come with a huge price and Electro could just be one of them. I'm saying that because we still don't know for sure which other characters could enter the current MCU continuity. Things are getting really interesting on the Marvel side of things and I'm here for it!
WandaVision is hitting Disney+ later this year.
