Wall Street Analysts Expect Marvel’s Netflix Series To Move To Disney’s Streaming Service

There's been a lot of talk ever since Disney announced that it would launch its own streaming service to compete with sites like Netflix and lately industry insiders have been trying to analyze the fallout of the Mickey Mouse House's decision to try out the new media platform.

Writing a feature on the upcoming Netflix v Disney , the Wall Street Journal's analysis says that Disney could transfer off its Marvel Netflix series to its own streaming service after the successful launch of its site, saying that "...while [Disney] currently produces Marvel superhero series such as "Daredevil" for Netflix, new Marvel shows in the future are expected to live on the company's own streaming service."

Though the trade doesn't really specify what kind of fate the Marvel series will have after leaving its producer, Netflix, the article does go on to explain that the Mickey Mouse house is looking to consolidate its Marvel entities with its acquisition of 20^th Century Fox.

It's acquisition of the studio would also help return popular Marvel characters to the franchise, like the X-Men and the Fantastic Four. The only problem is whether subscribers would willingly make the move from Netflix which hosts quite a number of content to Disney's streaming platform.

Disney will launch its streaming service sometime in 2019.
