Vera Farmiga Elaborates on Her Role in Godzilla: King of Monsters

The sequel to 2014's Godzilla is currently underway, and Vera Farmiga (Bates Motel) is part of the cast. We still don't have that much details on the human characters of the movie, but Farmiga gives us an idea of what her role in the movie is.

Talking to Metro, Farmiga explains:

"I play a paleobiologist. She has figured out a way to communicate with the creatures and potentially control them using their bioacoustics on a sonar level. So she is like a DJ for the monsters."

With the movie featuring several Kaiju, it would make sense that they would have someone who could try and contact the monsters. For all the things that humans can't control in this movie, they should at least be able to find a way to get to them on some level.

Besides Godzilla, King of Monsters promises to bring us the likes of Mothra, Rodan, and the three-headed dragon King Ghidorah. Hopefully Legendary has learned something from 2014's Godzilla. We need more interesting human characters, and more Kaiju on Kaiju action.

Besides Farmiga, the movie also includes the likes of Millie Bobby Brown, Bradley Whitford, Sally Hawkins, Kyle Chandler, and Ken Watanabe. We also have some minor characters in the form of Ziyi Zhang, Thomas Middleditch, and Charles Dance.

Godzilla: King of Monsters comes out May 31, 2019.
