Valve Announces DOTA 2 Trading Card Game


At The International 2017, Valve has announced a new DOTA 2-based trading card game called Artifact, and the company has released a teaser to get fans hyped.

Artifact is expected to launch in 2018, and you can now watch the teaser below:

According to Polygon, Artifact is unique compared to other traditional card games in that it involves three boards. Valve didn't share many details about the game, but it seems to feature a number of elements from the studio's popular MOBA, including creeps, building multi-lane strategies and barracks. It looks like several characters from DOTA 2 will also be featured.

Artifact will most likely be compared to Blizzard's Hearthstone.
