US Government Accidentally Lists Down Wakanda as a Trade Partner

Black Panther was probably one of the biggest Marvel films to ever come out, and ever since the release, there is now a new general awareness of the country of Wakanda. What's funny is, the US Department of Agriculture had accidentally listed Wakanda as a free-trade partner.

According to the BBC, the Kingdom of Wakanda was accidentally added to the list during a staff test. Wakanda was removed from the list when the US media got a hold of it, but there are still some screenshots from the goof online:

It's funny that Wakanda should be listed since the whole point of the Black Panther movie was that the hidden kingdom was finally going to start opening up to the rest of the world. We don't know who's responsible for the goof, but I bet it's someone who was probably a fan of the film.

For now, Marvel Studios has teamed up with Ryan Coogler for a Black Panther sequel. Too bad for fans though, because we'll have to wait until 2022 for the release. Personally, I'm not the biggest fan of the first film. I mean, I understand the significance culturally and there are definitely some great elements, but overall I felt it was just lackluster. Then again, that's just one person's opinion.

For now, Black Panther II is set to come out on May 6, 2022. The next MCU film to release is Black Widow which hits theaters May 1, 2020.
