Upcoming Harry Potter LEGO Sets Celebrate First Three Movies

The Harry Potter franchise may have come and gone, but that doesn't mean LEGO doesn't have any plans to update the sets. Some photos of upcoming HP kits have come out online thanks to Entertainment Weekly, and they're going to bring us way back to the earlier days of the Potter films.

Check them out:

This group of kits are influenced from the first three HP films: Sorcerer's Stone, Chamber of Secrets, and Prisoner of Azkaban. We get a look at the LEGO set versions of Harry's first Quidditch match, the Whomping Willow scene, and Platform 9 ¾ complete with Professor Lupin and a Dementor.

You'll also notice that these figures depict the characters to be really young, as each of the child characters are given shorter legs. My earlier sets had Harry, Ron, and Hermione have the same height as the adults. There's also a new LEGO piece for the wands, as compared to the original thin brown cylinders.

With Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald getting its own upcoming LEGO sets, it's the perfect time for LEGO to try and bank on one of their most successful licenses. Harry Potter may not hold a candle to Star Wars, but it still has some pretty devoted fans.

No release date has been announced for these upcoming sets.
