Uncharted Movie Has 'One of the Best Scripts' Tom Holland Has Ever Read

Tom Holland's Uncharted movie has been in production hell for a long time, with directors leaving left and right, along with scripts constantly changing. That's just the nature of show business but it's still a bit troubling to see the company struggle with this property, especially since there are so many video games to base a movie on. As we wait for more details on this movie, Holland did have some nice things to say about the movie and its script.

Speaking with IGN, Holland mentioned how the script is one of the best he's ever read. Granted, the man is in his 20's and will have more scripts to read in the future but we do appreciate his compliments to the script. Hopefully, the movie that comes out is as good as Holland is claiming.

"I read the newest draft of the script on the way over here and it's one of the best scripts I've ever read. It really, really jumps off the page."

Considering how this movie is supposed to be a prequel to the video games, we're expecting to see elements from Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception and Uncharted 4: A Thief's End since both of these games did show us some of Nathan Drake's early life. With Holland as Drake and Mark Whalberg as Drake's mentor Sully, this could end up being the start of a great franchise.

Uncharted currently doesn't have a release date. All of the games are currently available on the PlayStation 4.
