Tye Sheridan Signed To Play Cyclops For Two More X-Men Sequels

The future of the X-Men franchise after this year's X-Men: Apocalypse is still unclear, but we've heard that the next X-Men film might center on Jean Grey's Dark Phoenix saga, which means that Sophie Turner, the actress who plays Jean in Apocalypse, is set to return in more sequels. Now, we know at least one more actor is signed to return after Apocalypse, as Entertainment Weekly reported that Tye Sheridan will be reprising his role as Cyclops (a.k.a. Scott Summers) for two more sequels.

Scott Summers is always invovled with Jean, so it would be tough to imagine Jean Grey without Cyclops in the Dark Phoenix saga, which is just a rumor for now. We've also heard rumors that Wolverine 3 and X-Men: Apocalypse will be the end of Brian Singer's movie-verse, but it looks like 20th Century Fox still want to keep the franchise alive.

Singer recently teased Wolverine's pivotal moments in X-Men: Apocalypse. You an watch the new trailer for the movie here.

X-Men: Apoalypse hits theaters on May 27, 2016.
