Two More Marvel Heroes Survived Thanos’ Massacre In Avengers: Infinity War

Thanos (Josh Brolin) might have taken the lives of so many members of the Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy when he gathered all six Infinity Stones and snapped his fingers at the end of Avengers: Infinity War, but it looks like the lives of Shuri (Letitia Wright) and Ramonda (Angela Basset) weren't among those taken.

Speaking in an interview with Screen Rant to help promote her upcoming film, Mission: Impossible – Fallout, Bassett decided to open up about Avengers: Infinity War and confirm that her character Ramonda, the Queen Mother of Wakanda and her character's daughter Shuri, both survived Thanos' massacre in the film.

"No. Neither did my daughter. Shuri, she's a bright girl there in Wakanda. So…' Bassett told the publication after being asked whether or not Ramonda survived Infinity War.

Ramonda first appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Black Panther, welcoming T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman) back home for his coronation together with her daughter, Shuri. Though Shuri was present in Avengers: Infinity War, the Queen Mother sat out the film, and it's unsure whether she'll be making an appearance in Avengers 4. It is possible however that Ramonda might pop up in Infinity War's sequel – after all, with T'Challa gone, the Queen Mother will need to rule in his stead in Wakanda. Her or T'Challa's sister Shuri.

Avengers 4 hits cinemas May 03, 2019.
