Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 Remake Officially Announced During Summer Game Fest

Get your helmets and knee pads ready while cranking that jukebox to 11 as Activision has officially announced Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2, which remasters the first two games in a similar way to the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. This means that the gameplay will stay intact while the graphics get a gorgeous update and man, it's beautiful.

Announced during Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest, the remastered game collection will be coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It looks like a return to form for this series since, let's be really honest here, we've had years of really bad Tony Hawk games. Everything from that one game that had a skateboard controller to the failure known as Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 have been huge black eyes to the franchise.

Sometimes you have to go back to the drawing board and it looks like that's what Activision is doing here. Maybe when the positive reception comes out, it will encourage them to make new Tony Hawk's Pro Skater games. That would definitely make Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 6 much more tantalizing since no one would touch an entry after the disastrous reception of Pro Skater 5.

Fans won't have to wait too long as Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 is expected to hit current-gen gaming systems on September 4. This year is starting to feel a bit better already.
