Tom Holland Wants An Spider-Man/Ant-Man Team-up

It's been confirmed that the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel will not feature Tony Stark anymore, but Peter Parker will still get to hang with another hero from the MCU. The possibilities right now seem to be open, but Tom Holland already has someone in mind for a team-up.

During a junket interview with ScreenRant, Holland was asked to comment on the absence of Tony Stark in the Homecoming sequel.

Holland: "I [didn't] know that Iron Man's not going to be in the sequel. Who told you that? I didn't hear that."

SR: That was the report.

Holland: "Yeah, y'know, press is press. But yeah, Ant-Man would be my favorite. I want to have like a bug bros session. I think it'd be really cool."

When you think about it, Peter Parker and Scott Lang do share some similarities apart from drawing their powers from insects. The two are tech geniuses, and they both come from humble beginnings. Sure Lang may not have any sentiments for Stark, but I'm pretty sure he'll have a lot of fun things to teach Peter Parker.

Not to mention you'll be pairing up two of the funniest characters in the MCU.

For now I don't know what to expect from Homecoming so I really can't make any logical guesses for what the sequel may have in store. Since Michael Keaton is only attached to star in one Marvel movie, I'm guessing another major villain will be making an appearance in the sequel. You think they'll reboot Doctor Octopus?

The sequel may be far off, but we can finally catch Holland's first solo outing as Spider-Man when Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theaters this July 7.
