Tom Hiddleston Teases “Fun” New Encounter Between Loki and Hulk in Thor: Ragnarok

The last time we saw Tom Hiddleston's Loki and Mark Ruffalo's Hulk in the same space, things didn't turn out well for the God of Mischief. That was back in 2012's The Avengers, where Hulk taught Loki a lesson for manipulating Earth's Mightiest Heroes by beating him up.

It will be five years since that moment by the time Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters, and while five years is a long time, Loki hasn't fully recovered from the experience mentally and maybe emotionally. His ego was clearly hurt. Hulk was the first mortal to embarrass him. Knowing Loki, the character wouldn't just let it go.

According to Comicbook.com, at Wizard World Philadelphia this past weekend, Hiddleston admitted how Loki is still mending from the embarrassment of being thrashed by Hulk around Tony Stark's living room. The 35-year-old actor then teased an interesting reunion for the two in Thor: Ragnarok. He said:

It's no secret that the Hulk shows up in Ragnarok, and the last time Loki and Hulk were in the same room, [it] didn't go very well for Loki so, he's got a few chips on his shoulder. But yeah, it's fun, you'll see.

Loki didn't exactly confirm a showdown between the two characters, and perhaps it's sensible to do that since it would be a spoiler as to whether Loki will be a full-fledge villain in the film or an undecided ally. In any case, it's clear that something will happen once Loki and the Hulk meets again. It would be pretty interesting to see what Loki has up his sleeves now that it's clear Hulk could take him on physically any time.

Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters on November 3, 2017.
