Tom Hardy's Trainer Hypes Up Venom, Name Drops A Classic Villain

The upcoming Venom movie starring Tom Hardy is one of the more interesting comic book adaptations coming out next year. Rumors have claimed that the film will be based on the classic Lethal Protector arc of the character and might include a number of characters from that series. Interestingly enough, a video starring one of Hardy's trainers from the film has surfaced, hyping up Hardy's workout regime and how monstrous the villain will be. He also might have name dropped a villain that could get many fans excited.

Mark Mene, the trainer of Tom Hardy for the film, has described the acclaimed actor as humble and down to Earth. Aside from the praise, he also hyped up how monstrous the character is going to be, stating that the symbiote infested anti-hero will be "a guy that turns into an 8' 4'' beast." What will really catch the attention of fans is this little tidbit he said.

"What the world is going to see is one of the darkest, most powerful supervillains that Marvel has ever created. It's going to be carnage."

"It's going to be carnage." While the trainer might have just been exaggerating for the sake of hype, some fans are wondering if this was a deliberate tease for classic 90's villain Carnage. The offspring of Venom, this character is even stronger than his symbiote father, which forced a truce between Spider-Man and his archnemesis at the time.

Venom is slated for an October 5, 2018, release.
