T.J. Miller Says Deadpool 2 Won’t Be A Hangover 2-Type Sequel

Deadpool was a massive success for Fox, and the sequel is currently underway. T.J. Miller, who plays Weasel in the movie, is said to be getting a bigger role this time around, and Miller gives us an idea on what to expect from the sequel.

During an interview with Screen Rant, Miller admitted:

"It's not going to be like Hangover 2, it's not going to be the same movie in a different location, for instance. It's got different stakes, different things happen, some pretty tragic, dark sh-t happens in the first part of the film, in the beginning, and the rest of the film is kind of dealing with that, so that's interesting. But Weasel remains just absolutely the most selfish individual on the face of the planet."

I'm very curious on what "dark" and "tragic" things happen in the sequel. My guess is that Morena Baccarin's character Vanessa actually dies—this would explain Wade Wilson's return to Blind Al's apartment; because he has no other home to come back to. Plus, with Vanessa exiting the picture, there's open potential for between Deadpool and new character Domino.

Going back to Miller, his career has actually gotten him a lot more attention, with The Emoji Movie being the first to have Miller take center stage. Miller has also been cast in Steven Spielberg's adaptation of Ready Player One, and his busy schedule has already led him to leave his role as Erlich Bachman on Silicon Valley.

I'm going to miss Bachman on the show, but I hope Miller still brings the laughs in Deadpool 2 which hits theaters June 1, 2018.
