Titanfall 2 Skipping EA Origin Access, No Early or Free Trials Coming

Titanfall 2 may be EA's next big thing in gaming. However, fans who are looking to sample the game before they actually buy it won't have a chance to anymore.

Developer Respawn and EA have confirmed that Titanfall 2 will not be part of the EA Access and Origin Access services come launch. The fine print in the EA Access was also changed to reflect how the service excludes Titanfall 2.

GameReactor reached out to EA and learned that the developer is still being considered for future inclusion for the EA Access and Origin Access services. But this won't come anytime this year, and certainly not before the launch date.

EA Access is currently a service for Xbox One players, which allows them to sample the game as a free demo, as well as gain early access to the game before the public. Origin Access is a similar service for PC players.

The announcement also ensured that Titanfall 2 won't be part of to 10% discount or 10-hour free trial. Because of this, a number of players have started to air out their concerns for the game.

Over at Reddit, fans themselves are torn when it comes to how they feel about Respawn's upcoming new game and sequel.

"I can't speak for most people but I went from ‘I'm absolutely buying this, Titanfall 1 was amazing' to ‘This feels pretty bad to play, I'm gonna have to see some major changes and totally different level design before I buy it.' A demo would help—unless those changes didn't happen and the other maps end up being equally poor designed."

Any thoughts about EA's new policy changes on Titanfall 2? Are you buying at launch or waiting for the possibility of it landing on EA or Origin Access later on?

Titanfall 2 is coming to the PC, PS4, and Xbox One on Oct. 28.
