Thor: Ragnarok’s Chris Hemsworth Shares His Intense Workout

Being a superhero is no walk in the park. And no matter which universe you may be in, it involves workouts—a lot of it.

As proven by Aquaman's Jason Momoa and Amber Heard, as well as Black Panther's Angela Bassett, portraying the big roles in upcoming DC and Marvel hero movies is not just fun and games.

Now, the next actor to reveal his intense workout is none other than Chris Hemsworth, who portrays the Asgardian god Thor in Thor: Ragnarok. Revealed on his Instagram, Hemsworth shows us just how rigorous his training is—and just how cool his new hairdo is.

From the looks of it, Thor is going to be put through an intense test in that arena. It includes a fast-paced stationary bike, a lot of lifts and arm work, bear crawls, pushups, and weights with trainer Luke Zocchi. Then again, if you're facing off against The Hulk, this is probably just the warm-up program.

Hemsworth did lose a few pounds for a recent role in In the Heart of the Sea, thus the return to the gym. This is probably why the first few images of Thor: Ragnarok shows a less muscle-y Thor, though I have to admit, this is a far better look than the bursting muscles look he's got going on the past two movies and the two Avengers.

Thor: Ragnarok will be out in theaters on Oct. 25. It stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Hopkins, Mark Ruffalo, and Cate Blanchett as Hela.
