Thor: Ragnarok Visits Planets Similar to Guardians of the Galaxy’s Way ‘Beyond The Nine Realms’

It looks like Thor ( Chris Hemsworth) and Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) are going hopping in all sorts of cosmic realms in Thor: Ragnarok.

Marvel Studios President Kevin Fiege had a press set in Atlanta about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 just very recently, and when asked by Screen Rant about how the space romp franchise would expand in the future, Fiege touched on another film: Taika Waititi's Thor: Ragnarok.

According to the Marvel head, Thor: Ragnarok would be going beyond the nine realms, revealing that Thor and his newest space buddy would travel into places much like the Guardians' territory.

"I don't know about branching off from this, but certainly inhabiting similar areas from this. A lot of our upcoming movies will. I mean the upcoming movies will be as much up here, as they are on Earth, starting with not Spider-Man, starting with Thor: Ragnarok. There are three scenes on Earth in Thor: Ragnarok. Everything else is Asgard, and not all of these worlds, but world that certainly, let's put it this way, in Thor lingo, it's beyond the nine realms. There are other planets that we spend a lot of time on in Thor: Ragnarok, that certainly people would say, ‘oh, that's sort of like the Guardians world', but they're just other areas of the Marvel cosmos universe."

While Fiege scratches out possibility of stumbling on a Guardians of the Galaxy planet, it doesn't entirely rule out the potential of a cameo from Marvel's brassy group of space thugs-turned-heroes. Wouldn't it be cool to see Chris Pratt's Star Lord making a quick appearance in Thor: Ragnarok?

Thor: Ragnarok makes its way to the big screen on November 3 this year.
