'Thor: Ragnarok': Stellar Cast Members Confirmed


Marvel Studios just announced that they're adding Jeff Goldblum and Karl Urban to the line-up of stellar talent for the highly-anticipated Thor: Ragnarok. The casting news also identified characters who will be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the third solo film for Chris Hemsworth's Thor.

Golblum and Urban will be joining previously announced cast members Cate Blanchett and Tessa Thompson, along with returning actors Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston.

According to Marvel Studios, Goldblum is set to play the supremely powerful Grandmaster, alongside Star Trek's Karl Urban as Skurge, and Dear White People's Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie. Mark Ruffalo will reprise his role as The Hulk.

Cate Blanchett is set to play the mystical villainess Hela, who debuted in the comics back in the 1964. She is the the daughter of an older form of Loki's and the ruler of Hel, the Asgardian world of the dead.

Thor: Ragnarok will be directed by Taika Waititi, and is set to release on November 3, 2017.
