Thor: Ragnarok Sort Of Settles The Debate On Whether Thor Is Stronger Than The Hulk

Thor: Ragnarok is pitting the Asgardian God of Thunder (Chris Hemsworth) against the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) in a gladiator match in Sakaar, and while the film might not definitely prove which Avenger is stronger, the superhero space buddy movie is going to tackle the issue head-on.

Ragnarok might hit cinemas in the US tomorrow, however, Marvel is still making the promotional rounds, and in an interview with CBR, the film's co-writer Erick Pearson, says that the new movie's going to offer a resolution on the long-standing debate on which hero is stronger.

"I think people will continue to have those debates even after the fight. I think that's what is the most fun about being a fan of these kinds of things. You have your favorites. It is nerd sports. You have your favorites and your own belief in their strengths and weaknesses. It's a blast to talk about who you think would ultimately win. There was a lot of attention paid to that fight. We knew it would be a big attraction. From the beginning, we were doing a lot to choreograph the moments that we needed. I think we gave a pretty satisfying ending to the fight. It's both definitive and ambiguous if that's possible."

It might feel like a big cop out for fans betting on Odinson or the Jade Giant, but if the fight's as satisfying as Pearson promises, then fans can rest easy. Besides, there are better things to do aside from debating with other geeks – everyone will have their favorite hero, and it's best to respect a friend's decision.

Thor: Ragnarok hits cinemas tomorrow, November 3, 2017.
