Thor: Ragnarok, Future Marvel Movies May Not See Jane Foster

Thor: Ragnarok won't exactly have the setting that's best for mere humans. That's why Professor Erik Selvig (Stellan Skarsgard) may not be back until the next Avengers movie, Avengers: Infinity War.

But it seems that Dr. Jane Foster, played by Natalie Portman, won't be coming back to the Marvel franchise entirely.

Speaking to the Wall Street Journal, Portman revealed that while there are no concrete announcements, it's highly likely that she won't be reprising her role as Thor's human girlfriend.

"As far as I know I'm done. I mean, I don't know if maybe one day they'll ask for an Avengers 7 or whatever. I have no idea. But as far as I know, I'm done, but it was a great thing to be a part of."

For now, Portman has other projects and upcoming movies up her sleeve. Her upcoming movies will see her as Jackie Kennedy and Ruth Bader Ginsburg in Jackie and a Ruth Bader Ginsburg biopic respectively.

As far as returning stars in Thor: Ragnarok are concerned, Tom Hiddleston will be reprising his role as Loki, the trickster god. Two members of the Warrior Three are coming back.

Both Ray Stevenson (who played Volstagg) and Tadanobu Asano (Hogun) have been spotted in Australian territory during the same time that Thor: Ragnarok is filming. Unfortunately, we haven't heard anything yet from Zachary Levi if he will be coming back as Fandral the Dashing for the third installment.

Thor: Ragnarok will be out in theaters on Oct. 25, 2017.
