This Video Perfectly Describes The Cliches of JRPG's

The guys at College Humor have created a hilarious video showcasing the tropes of Japanese role-playing games. I've played dozens of JRPG's for the first Playstation years ago, and I can't deny that I've seen a lot of the elements described in this video in those games. Even some of the best ones follow these formulaic aspects. I think the main villain here is mostly inspired by Final Fantasy VI's Kefka, but other RPG's have featured a similar kind of villain as well. This funny video also reminds us of how ridiculous it is for the characters to have time to play minigames when the fate of the world depends on them.
